Clinton's detail is done in your driveway, from Pond Park to the city gardens.

Clinton grew up where 1800 North crosses 2000 West, both UDOT roads, one widened to five lanes and the other being widened now, with the new I-15 interchange at 1800 North under construction through November 2027. Pond Park and Crane Field Golf Course sit out on the west side, where the farm properties of the western annexation area have stayed in the same families for generations, and the Heritage Days parade still lines up at 1800 North and 1000 West. A Fresh Tracks professional details your car, truck or SUV at your Clinton home or your work, nothing to drop off, and the monthly plan returns every 2 or 4 weeks.

Clinton's Heritage Days car show is coming up on its twenty-fifth year, and the fireworks go off at Civic Center Park.

Clinton's dirt comes from the lake, the farms and two kinds of salt truck.

UDOT brines 1800 North and 2000 West and the city salts its own streets, the lake's dust blows in spring and fall, the west side farms raise dust in summer, and 1800 North is a work zone through 2027.

  • Winter

Salt brine before a storm and salt, grit and cinders during it on 1800 North and 2000 West, because both are UDOT's and UDOT pre-treats what it plows, and salt from the city's own spreaders on the streets in between, with the collector roads and the hills plowed first; from November 15 to March 15 the car spends the night in the driveway, off the street by rule from midnight to 7 a.m.

  • Spring

The lake's dust from March to May, the DEQ's season for strong winds over the dry lakebed, and the first fishing of the year at Pond Park out on 2415 North, with the bait and the wet net riding home on the floor.

  • Summer

Farm dust on the west side, because the city's own planning notes for the western annexation area list dust, odors and livestock as customary farming operations there, goose droppings on the mats after Pond Park, and construction on 1800 North from I-15 to 2000 West, seven lanes at the freeway end and five from 250 West.

  • Fall

The 1800 North work carries on through the fall and past it, to November 2027, the DEQ's second dust season puts the lakebed on the paint again, and by November 15 the overnight parking ban is back.
