The detail comes all the way up the valley to Liberty.

Liberty is at the top of Ogden Valley, where Weber County's North Fork Park spreads its five camping areas, three yurts and Ogden Nordic's three winter gates, and where the North Ogden Divide comes down to the gate the county put in during the winter of 2025 to 26. The Eden to Liberty Road links it to Eden. A Fresh Tracks professional comes to Liberty for the Fresh Start detail, your car, truck or SUV done right in your driveway, and the monthly plan keeps the campground dust and the Divide's gravel from building up.

Liberty is one of the three towns in Ogden Valley City, incorporated in January 2026, and its North Fork Park has been an International Dark Sky Park since 2015.

The year in Liberty runs gate to gate.

Gravel and thaw mud off the Divide's dirt roads in winter, snow at a park that opens in May, campground dust all summer, and hunting camps on the Middle Fork in fall.

  • Winter

Packed snow, thaw mud and gravel in the wheel wells from the Divide's dirt trailhead roads past the last houses, and whatever the county plows put down on the Divide on the days it's open, since the county closes the gate when it's slick. Salt brine and salt on SR-158 and SR-39 on the way in and out, and skis and snowshoes going into the cargo area wet and salty from Ogden Nordic's South Gate lot.

  • Spring

Snow and thaw on the road up to North Fork Park, which doesn't open until the first weekend of May, weather permitting, so the early trips meet both, and the Middle Fork WMA above the valley reopens the second Saturday in April for the first trips up after its winter closure for wildlife.

  • Summer

Campground dust and horse-trail dirt from North Fork Park's hiking, bike and horse trails and its 132 first-come sites, and chain lube and trail grit on the tailgate from the park's singletrack and the Pineview path.

  • Fall

Hunting-season camping on the Middle Fork WMA, where overnight camping opens across the whole area from September 10 to the end of the year, and the first avalanche closures on the Divide, with patchy snow below 8,300 feet by late November. North Fork Park shuts its gate in mid October and the water goes off, so a late trip finds it closed.
